How’d you start modeling?
I actually did my first runway when I was around 5 or 6 years old with my gorgeous mother — that’s when the dream was planted. However, it wasn’t until college that I really started to fulfill those dreams. There was a program at my university, Georgia State University called Infinite Appeal.
Who/ what are your biggest inspirations?
My mother is my biggest inspiration. She never lets any obstacle or closed door deter her from anything she wants. She keeps going and that inspires me to do the same.
Tell us some of your modeling goals. Any particular brands you’d love to model for?
I would love to model for some of your favorite denim lines, Gap, Guess, then Victoria’s Secret — and just saturate the commercial market from print campaigns to commercials.
Favorite modeling experience, so far & why?
My favorite modeling experience by far was shooting a mock Victoria’s Secret commercial with one of my favorite photographers, Marcus Ezell. It was blast. Especially since that is one of my ultimate goals, shooting for Victoria’s Secret.
What are some of your favorite beauty products?
I am a very simple girl. I love Neutrogena grapefruit scrub and coconut oil. I am obsessed with oils. LOL
We know you’ve gotta take care of your figure, but what’s your favorite “cheat meal”?
Definitely pizza! Oh, and a juicy bacon cheeseburger with hot Cheetos!
What are you listening to at the moment?
Solange’s new album, Seat at the Table. It’s on repeat.
Favorite TV show/ movie?
My favorite movie is The Goonies.
What’s your biggest pet peeve & why?
Hmm, my biggest and most petty pet peeve would be “irresponsible honkers.” I definitely just made that term up, haha. You know, those people who honk their horn at you as soon as the light turns green, or if you’re actually kind and let someone out or get over. They irk me. \
Something you love to do in your spare time?
I love to read and go to the movies. I’m a movie fanatic.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself!
Fun and super random fact: I have a pet aquatic turtle and his name is Fiesty.
What valuable lessons have you learned from the industry, thus far? Any advice for other aspiring models?
I’ve learned that no matter how many no’s you get, all you need is one yes — that one person that believes in you. Know when one opportunity doesn’t work out, it’s because God is preparing an even better one.
